Accountability
Editorial policy
Who is responsible for Delirium Support, how health information is checked and how corrections are handled.
Responsible author and publisher
Delirium Support is written and independently maintained by Professor Alasdair MacLullich, Professor of Geriatric Medicine at the University of Edinburgh. The University and NHS do not publish or endorse this website.
Evidence, review and limitations
Clinical and safety statements are checked against authoritative guidance and relevant published evidence. Detailed clinical pages show a review date. The present edition has been reviewed by its author and tested for clinical-safety, readability and accessibility issues, but it has not received a separate named independent clinical review. It does not replace assessment or advice from the clinicians responsible for an individual.
Corrections
Report an error through the contact page, identifying the page, the statement concerned and a reliable source where possible. Material corrections are checked before publication.
Book and commercial interests
The site mentions a family guide book by Professor Alasdair MacLullich and Dr Sharmella Summan. The authors will receive royalties from book sales. Everything on Delirium Support is free and available without buying the book; the book is simply an option for people who would like more information and depth.
Reuse and independence
Original text is licensed under CC BY 4.0 unless stated otherwise. No paid placement or commercial ranking is used.
